Rater Quality Assurance Failure Reporting
Following the California Code of Regulations, CHEERS reports on quality assurance inspections of its Raters.
Although the vast majority of Raters are highly knowledgeable professionals who strive to uphold Title 24 regulations, some do not meet the standards for truth, accuracy, or completeness.
For those Raters, we offer training and mentoring or progressive discipline. Our Quality Assurance Program is designed to ensure that Raters effectively enforce the energy code and protect consumers.
Progressive disciplinary notices are issued to Raters to educate and improve the accuracy of their field verifications and diagnostic testing. Suspension and decertification are deterrents, with decertification barring a Rater from conducting field verification and diagnostic testing permanently.
